Viridiun food recycling services announces new office in Westerville, Ohio


Food Recycling Frontier

Viridiun, a national provider of food recycling services that includes collection and animal feed production, announced the opening of a new office in Westerville, Ohio to build on the “next frontier of food recycling.” Viridiun already services Kroger grocery stores in Ohio, as well as correctional facilities, American Electric Power and Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants. According to the company, it is recycling almost  3 million lbs/week of organic-by-products nationwide. Viridiun Ohio is managing food waste collection and transport to the Ohio Mulch Supply composting facility in Delaware.

The ALLU® D-Series Screener Crusher Bucket attachment works with wheel loaders, excavators and skid steers to screen, crush, pulverize, aerate, blend, mix, separate, feed and load materials all in one stage. The power adjustment valve enables powerful start-up and rotation allowing the attachment to efficiently screen and crush wet or dry material from 0.60-inch to 6-inch (fragment sizes. Straight side plate construction of the screener crusher buckets simplifies filling and makes them able to hold a greater volume of material, while the standard power adjustment valve prevents overloads. Changeable wear hammers are available; axe wear hammers are ideal for crushing bark and mixing compost. Allu has over 60 models of the bucket attachments to fit any excavator, wheel loader, skid steer or backhoe.

Distributor Acquisition

DoppstadtUS holding company Ecoverse Industries LLC recently acquired North Carolina-based compost equipment distributor N40 Inc. N40 product and service line centered around the BACKHUS compost turner and Backers star screens equipment offering. “Our acquisition is focused on maintaining their value, and integrating that with the advantages of DoppstadtUS to deliver a complete, start-to-finish solution for composting operators,” explains Shane Donnelly, president and CEO of Ecoverse Industries. N40 business operations have all been consolidated at the Avon, Ohio headquarters of Ecoverse and DoppstadtUS.
