Recovering Wood Waste After Hurricane Sandy
Both chipped and unchipped wood was transferred to Floyd Bennett Field as the dumping stations throughout New York City reached capacity.

As of mid-December, New York City had collected over 240,000 cubic yards of woody debris. Over 11,000 trees came down during the storm.
