BioCycle, American Biogas Council Workshop: AD Odor Management

ABC WorkshopBioCycle and the American Biogas Council have organized a one-day BioCycle EAST COAST17 Preconference Workshop — Odor Management At Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facilities — on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Workshop is a first of its kind for the AD biogas industry.

• Odors, Perception And The Human Olfaction Factor: Pamela Dalton, Monell Chemical Senses Center
• Sources Of Odors At AD Facilities: Paul Greene, CDM Smith
• Regulatory And Legal Perspectives, and Management Strategies To Minimize Odors: Michael Lannan, Tech Environmental, Inc.
• Odor Control Technologies: Bernard Sheff, ES Engineering Services
• Facility Case Studies, featuring Bob Yost of A1 Organics, Scott Nally of quasar energy group, and Lauren Toretta of CH4 Biogas

Each case study walks through facility experiences with odor challenges and solutions, as well as odor communications.

While targeted at the anaerobic digestion sector, the knowledge and strategies to be shared is equally pertinent to composting facility managers. Vendors of odor control technologies and services will have the opportunity to present during Vendor Lightning Rounds.
