Biogas Americas — May 4-May 27

The American Biogas Council is holding its second virtual Biogas Americas event, each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon in May from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM EDT, starting on Tuesday, May 4 and ending on Thursday, May 27. Each day includes two hour-long sessions with an hour dedicated to the virtual marketplace and networking between the two sessions. The Conference agenda focuses a fair amount on renewable natural gas (RNG), looking at next growth opportunities in the RNG market; net zero utilities that have committed to transitioning to renewable gases; return on investment for small and medium farm RNG projects; and what it will take to finance 100 RNG projects in one year.

Other sessions cover the low carbon fuel standard (LCFS) “wave” across the country, the rapid rise of biogas-based hydrogen, predictions on whether eRINs (electric-generated renewable fuel credits) will be activated in 2021, and how to slash Scope 1 emissions (direct greenhouse gas emissions such as fossil fuel combustion) with biogas/RNG. On Thursday, May 13, the focus is on “low-carbon” livestock agriculture, including “Carbon Markets, Climate, Cows and Cattle.” Speakers, virtual marketplace exhibitors and more are on the Biogas Americas website.
