Two free virtual events are coming up and BioCycle will be there. The Forum on Compostable Plastics: The Impacts and Implications of Use and Acceptance is Thursday, August 20 at 2:00 PM—4:00 PM Central. The Forum is being hosted by the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition and Chicago Sustainability Task Force.   This solution-oriented discussion will dive into best practices and challenges in the use and processing of certified compostable plastic foodservice ware and packaging products. The Forum, moderated by Stephanie Katsaros, Bright Beat, features 5 panelists — Nora Goldstein, BioCycle; Rhodes Yepsen, Biodegradable Products Institute; Susan Thoman, Compost Manufacturing Alliance; Jamie Brown, Eco-Products; and Patrick Geraty, St. Louis Composting.

Goldstein will also moderate two virtual roundtable discussions, Roadmap To Scaling Composting Infrastructure In North America, on August 25 (12:30 PM Pacific) and August 26 (3:30 PM Pacific).
